Designboom's competition brief called for product and industrial design entries for a shopping cart that will be exclusively manufactured for and distributed to the homeless people in New York.

solution

Inspired by a rectangular folded piece of paper, I designed modular extruded panels held together by rubber tension bands and pluggable wheel inserts. This assembly can be folded and snapped into multiple configurations for different uses.
